Rockit is an adventurous festival brimming with blends of genres and styles, from jazz to alternative rock. On the 9th of November 2024 the sixth edition of the festival takes place in De Oosterpoort in Groningen. On six stages, SPOT Groningen and NN North Sea Jazz present established names and rising stars from the jazzscene and related styles. What connects the artists is the adventurous, progressive way in which they incorporate different styles into their music.
Adventurous, innovative, progressive; these are the words that describe the Groningen festival Rockit best. According to the tradition of Herbie Hancock’s eponymous hit, Rockit presents a fusion of jazz and others music styles as experimental pop, alternative music, and contemporary music.
