Welcome to SUMMERSTAGE
As Summer begins, SPOT Groningen organizes a series of large-scale concerts in the beautiful Stadspark. Expect a lineup of performances from international and national icons across various genres, taking over the former racetrack under the Summerstage banner. The first name we can announce is Neil Young, with very special guest Van Morrison who will be coming to Groningen on the 1st of July!

Your visit
The Summerstage concerts are held on the former trotting track in the Groningen City Park.
ON FOOT OR BY BICYCLE
Do you live in or near the city of Groningen? The fastest way to get to and from the concert site is on foot or by bicycle. The bicycle sheds at the park are free. Navigate to Concourslaan 10 for the entrance to the event site. As soon as you reach the City Park, signs direct you to the entrance and bicycle shed.
BY CAR
You can use one of the P+R locations around Groningen and continue traveling from there. You will soon find more information about parking and transport to the site here.
BY TRAIN
Groningen station is being renovated and will be out of use during Summerstage, so no trains run to and from the main station. That is difficult, but of course we will take this into account and are working on a solution, about which you will soon find more information here.
KISS & RIDE
Will you be dropped off and/or picked up? Let your driver navigate to Laan Corpus den Hoorn and follow the signs for Kiss & Ride. You cannot park here. From here you can walk to the event site in about 10 minutes.
There are several bars and eateries on site offering food and drinks. We ensure there is sufficient choice here. Please note: It is not permitted to bring your own food and drinks to the festival site.
There are many nice hotels in Groningen! Below we give you some tips, but book in time as it can be busy!
There is a raised platform especially for visitors in wheelchairs. This platform provides an improved view of the stage. You must order a special wheelchair ticket for this. One supervisor is allowed on the platform. This companion must also have a wheelchair ticket. By limiting the number of supervisors to a maximum of 1, we give as many visitors in wheelchairs as possible the opportunity to optimally enjoy the performance. On presentation of the disabled parking card you will have access to the special parking lot close to the site. Navigate to Jan Evert Scholtenlaan and follow the instructions of the traffic controllers. The distance from the parking lot to the entrance is approximately 700 meters.
Be kind to each other and have fun! Take good care of yourself and each other and don’t forget to drink and eat enough. You can read our house rules HERE.
By purchasing an admission ticket and/or entering the event site, you agree to the house rules of Summerstage.
