Poplegende Anastacia – de fantastische stem achter hits als I’m Outta Love en Left Outside Alone – komt in april 2018 naar Groningen voor haar gloednieuwe tour, Evolution. Met meer dan 30 miljoen verkochte platen wereldwijd is Anastacia één van de meest herkenbare stemmen van deze tijd. Tijdens de nieuwe tour viert ze haar zevende, gelijknamige album Evolution. Op 22 april 2018 komt ‘de kleine vrouw met de enorme stem’ terug naar de Grote Zaal van De Oosterpoort.
Anastacia op haar best
Na een ongelofelijk succesvolle Ultimate Collection Tour in het seizoen 2016-2017 is Anastacia is op haar best terug met Evolution.
Het album, dat in Stockholm is opgenomen met producer Anders Bagge (die onder meer werkte met Celine Dion, Janet Jackson en Madonna) en zijn team van Baggpipe Studios, staat voor een terugkeer van de ‘oude’ Anastacia: boeiende rocknummers afgewisseld met catchy poptracks en gevoelige ballads, allen gekenmerkt door haar herkenbare stem en het krachtige geluid wat daarbij hoort.
Levensreddend onderzoek naar borstkanker
Tijdens de Ultimate Collection Tour kondigde ze een partnerschap aan met Cancer Research UK. Ze deed een persoonlijke donatie aan het goede doel om ze te helpen meer levensreddend onderzoek te kunnen doen naar borstkanker, nadat ze deze ziekte zelf twee keer overwon. Ze wil haar fans en vrienden aanmoedigen om ook te doneren en zo te helpen om fondsen op te zetten voor onderzoek naar borstkanker om de kans op overleven te vergroten.

Singer-songwriter Lauren Ray heeft een cultuurrijke jeugd gehad. Ze groeide op in Zuid-Afrika, Polen, Oostenrijk en het Verenigd Koninkrijk. Ze studeerde Antropologie in het Verenigd Koninkrijk, maar haar liefde voor muziek bleef ongekend. Tegenwoordig is ze druk bezig met optreden en liedjes schrijven. Lauren heeft een warme stemgeluid en haar songs hebben fluweelzachte en zwoele tonen.

During this new tour she celebrates her seventh, eponymous album Evolution. ‘The little lady with the big voice’ will be returning to De Oosterpoort’s main auditorium on 22 April 2018.

Following the incredibly successful Ultimate Collection Tour in the 2016-2017 season, Anastacia is back at her best with Evolution. The album, which was recorded in Stockholm with producer Anders Bagge (who worked with among others Celine Dion, Janet Jackson, and Madonna) and his Baggpipe Studios team, represents the return of the ‘old’ Anastacia: interesting rock songs, catchy pop tracks, and sensitive ballads alternated, all characterised by her recognisable voice and its powerful sound.
Life-saving breast cancer research
During the Ultimate Collection Tour, Anastacia announced a partnership with Cancer Research UK. She personally donated to this good cause to help enable them to conduct more life-saving research into breast cancer, after she overcame breast cancer twice. Anastacia encourages her fans and friends to donate too, to help set up research funds to increase the chances of surviving breast cancer.
