Corb Lund is een singer-songwriter afkomstig uit West-Canada. Hij is een onaantastbare artiest, zowel op het podium, achter de schermen en in de studio. Hij beweegt zich naadloos tussen de outlaw country, Western en indie-folk genres. Corb Lund lanceerde zijn carrière door opnames te maken in zijn kelder, zijn eigen shirts te drukken en zijn eigen tours te boeken.

Hij heeft jarenlang met de indie-metalband the smalls getourd en richtte later zijn pijlen op het schrijven van Western-liedjes, waarbij hij onderweg een unieke en eigenzinnige hybride schrijfstijl ontwikkelde. Hij heeft meerdere nationale en internationale prijsnominaties en overwinningen ontvangen. In 2022 won Lund zijn 14e Canadian Country Music Award en hij maakte eerder dit jaar zijn debuut op de historische Grand Ole Opry. In mei komt hij naar het Der Aa-theater om zijn nieuwe album, El Viejo, te laten horen.

Corb Lund is a singer-songwriter hailing from Western Canada. He is an untouchable artist both on stage, behind the scenes and in the studio. He moves seamlessly between the outlaw country, Western and indie-folk genres. Corb Lund launched his career by making recordings in his basement, printing his own shirts and booking his own tours.

He toured with the indie metal band the smalls for many years and later turned his sights to writing Western songs, developing a unique and idiosyncratic hybrid writing style along the way. He has received multiple national and international award nominations and wins. In 2022, Lund won his 14th Canadian Country Music Award, and he made his debut on the historic Grand Ole Opry earlier this year. He is coming to the Der Aa Theatre in May to perform his new album, El Viejo.
