Matt Schofield brengt Britse blues naar Groningen. De in Groot-Brittannië geboren en inmiddels in de VS wonende Matt Schofield geldt als een van de meest invloedrijke gitaristen van zijn generatie. In 2025 komt hij met zijn trio naar De Oosterpoort. Schofield staat bekend om zijn vloeiende gitaarspel, herkenbare sound en emotionele zang. Met meer dan twintig jaar als soloartiest en een indrukwekkende carrière die hem naar bijna dertig landen bracht, behoort hij tot de groten van de Britse blues. Hij won meerdere prestigieuze prijzen, waaronder ‘British Blues Guitarist of the Year”, en is de eerste gitarist in de British Blues Awards Hall of Fame. Tijdens deze tour markeert hij het jubileum samen met zijn originele orgeltrio, en dat met nieuwe muziek van het album Many Moons Volume 1.

With over twenty years as a solo artist and an impressive career that has taken him to nearly thirty countries, he stands among the greats of British blues. He has won numerous prestigious awards, including “British Blues Guitarist of the Year,” and is the first guitarist to be inducted into the British Blues Awards Hall of Fame. During this tour, he celebrates the anniversary of his original organ trio with new music from the album Many Moons Volume 1.
